This past January we sent almost 100 care packages to our deployed soldiers. After a month long drive for item & monetary donations, we hosted a volunteer packing event where we opened our doors on a Sunday so members of the community could help us pack the care packages with thank you notes, snacks, games, & other highly requested items to help show our appreciation for our boys & girls serving overseas. We are hoping to make this into an annual event. |

Because support for breast cancer research is so essential to eradicating the disease, Carpet One Floor & Home has made a commitment to contribute funds through our Carpet One Floor & Home Welcomes Your Support campaign. Carpet One Floor & Home donates 25% of the purchase price of our exclusive pink ribbon welcome mats to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (US) and the Canadian Cancer Society (CAN) in support of breast cancer research. Pink Ribbon welcome mats are available year round in participating Carpet One Floor & Home stores and come in a variety of designs for every season.

Our Commitment to Animal Welfare
Our love of animals has led us to support several animal friendly causes. Most recently, we donated to the Save the Tiger Fund in conjunction with our new product launch, Tigressa Softstyle. It was a natural fit for us to spread the word about the Save the Tiger Fund and do what we could to help save the animals whose majestic beauty inspired our new line. We have also partnered with animal welfare charities such as the American Human Society, the Canadian Federation for Human Societies and the Delta Society through the Muddiest Buddies campaigns which featured our worry-free Relax, It’s Lees carpet that is perfect for pet owners. |

It is important to create excellence in education, and we can help do so by encouraging community partnerships and support. The mission of the foundation is to provide financial support for innovative programs that will benefit our students, encourage our teachers, and increase the quality of education in Carroll County Public Schools.

Local Girl and Boy Troops
Mercer Carpet One Floor & Home also supports the local Boy Scout and Girl Scout districts. Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. It gives kids the confidence to take on any challenge. The Scouts empower the members to face and meet new challenges, develop their self-esteem, create opportunities for personal discovery, and value and learn from diverse experiences and relationships. |
A Green Commitment
In addition to providing our customers with a wide selection of Green Select products, we are also committed to taking action in our stores and communities to actively make the world a cleaner and healthier place. We feel this is an important part of being responsible citizens.
We are making a green commitment in our stores and offices by focusing on educating our employees and business partners; conserving resources and reducing waste; and encouraging recycling and green maintenance practices.

Breast Cancer Research Support

Locally, Mercer Carpet One extends our support to the Stacey Davis Breast Cancer Fund. This portion of the Community Foundation of Carroll County gives financial aid to women with breast cancer living in Carroll County. Aid covers medical expenses, supplies, and prostheses. The fund pays for travel expenses to and from treatments. It is a project that provides comfort and support to improve the quality of life for women living with breast cancer. Hospice Support

Every year Mercer Carpet One continues to support the Carroll County Hospice. Carroll Hospice, an affiliate of Carroll Hospital Center, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients needing end-of-life hospice care. The Center’s comprehensive and compassionate care centers on a well-rounded philosophy of treatment that addresses the patient’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, allowing them to live as fully and comfortably as possible in their final days. The Center’s services include a full spectrum of care: pain management and symptom control, coordination of home and inpatient services, an interdisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, social workers, clergy, pharmacists, hospice volunteers, and home health aides, and bereavement care for family members for up to 13 months. |
